Organizations need a framework to make decisions fast, get work done, not just talk about it.

Your precise bird’s eye view

Filtering isn’t technically equivalent to searching, both functions serve the same purpose: refine the data you see so you can focus on the information you need. Unlike searches, which are done across all your KanBo Boards by default, filtering only works on a single Board. You build your filter visually and the filter options are card name, labels, users, status, dates. Additionally, you can choose “match all” or “match any” and use the NOT operator selectively. Your applied filter also stays in place even if you enter a card and come back to the Board View or switch to the Board view to calendar, Gantt or any other view. KanBo also shows you how many cards in each list in each view have been blended out due to the filter conditions so you know how much you don’t see. During the filter is on all card actions are available without any restrictions – it is like would see and act only o a limited number of cards in a Board – it’s focus time.

Card grouping

Stay sharp with the right perspective

The amount of information contained by a board can be sometimes overwhelming. With Card grouping you can cut through the layers of complexity because you stay focused on a single dimension at the time. Out of the box KanBo provides card groupings that provide focus on key aspects of any undertaking, project or process covered by a board. Grouping by status lets you see how work is progressing – lists represent predefined status’ and moving cards between them changes the status on cards. Grouping by users lets you see the load of any employee involved – lists represent employees and their assigned work, and moving cards between them reassigns users on cards. Grouping by labels lets you see how cards are distributed across labels – lists represent labels containing all cards with that label and moving cards between them assigns labels new to cards. The due date grouping creates lists like overdue, due today, due tomorrow, in future, etc. to answer some basic questions about the time perspective. Each list in any grouping shows you in its header the number of cards to provide you a better understanding within the selected perspective.
